Let me introduce myself… I’m G.C. Gobin,

author, editor, and the man who put the Loner Guy

in Loner Guy Publishing.

Before I get into what a Loner Guy is, I want to say this…

No, I will not publish your work.

That’s not what I’m here for. Loner Guy Publishing only publishes my material (for now).

I encourage you to self-publish and to not rely on any publishing company to do it for you. Traditional publishing isn’t inherently evil, that’s not what I mean. However, there is a significantly large amount of freedom self-publishing offers. With that being said, even though you’re self-publishing, you still have an obligation to make your works look professional and not amateurish.

Part of the uniqueness of this company is this: although we won’t publish your work, we do want to provide some services that may help you in your self-publishing endeavor. Again, self-publishing doesn’t give you an excuse to be lazy and unprofessional. So, if you’re going to do it, then please do it right!

As an attempt to help fellow indie authors with ambition and vision, I do offer professional editing and book blurb writing services.

I have taken on editing full-time while still managing the company. However, my criteria for editing is a little stricter as I don’t work with everyone. Please read my criteria for partnership below!

My guidelines are simple:

  1. Your manuscripts can’t have any cursing or explicit sex scenes.

  2. You should have put some type of effort into basic proofreading and editing before giving it to me.

(this last point is a little biased but …)

  3. I prefer to work with those who have the mindset of a “Loner Guy”.

Which finally, brings me to my definition as to what a Loner Guy is.

A Loner Guy (whether guy or girl) is identified by their mindset.

Below you can find three characteristics of the mindset of a Loner Guy.

mindset of a lonerguy

  • Anti-Agenda

Literature has unfortunately followed the suit of television when it comes to what’s promoted. Whatever is trendy, or whatever endorses the current political and social agendas are pushed. A Loner Guy doesn’t let their creativity become suffocated by the death grip of culture. There is a business-mind that should be applied by authorpreneurs when writing. However, there is a thin line between being a business-minded creator and being a yellow-bellied pawn that panders for acceptance.

  • Uncompromising

Do you have morals, values, and principles? Good, then hold on to them! A Loner Guy’s values, morals, and principles do not change just because the market does.

  • Unconventional

While adhering to principles and maintaining integrity, the Loner Guy isn’t afraid to break the mold of conformity to ‘political correctness’, or to tastefully venture into boundary pushing territory with a profound vision and purpose. (Don’t get me wrong, we don’t condone blatant disrespectful, immature, and grossly offensive material that is written for shock value. We still have restrictions on what’s acceptable and what isn’t. We just have a little more flexibility here than you would have with a traditional publishing company.)
