How to Avoid Joining a Cult

Who can blame people for avoiding religion? From money grubbers to delusional dictators, can anybody truly trust someone who is affiliated with a church to tell the truth? Where does one turn when there are a multitude of beliefs, interpretations, and organizational standards and practices, and every one of those organizations will profess that their way is the "right way?"

This book will be a beacon of light to assure the weary seeker that amid the overwhelming confusion and delusional power trippers, there are well-trained and trustworthy individuals who are not seeking an overtly obsessive group of followers and are willing to point people to the truth if they want it. This book cannot pinpoint everyone who is trustworthy and everyone who is malicious. However, it can divulge some insight into the mechanics of a cult and present contrasting evidence designed to help a person sharpen their sense of awareness so they may be able to detect a cult when they come around.

As somebody who has escaped the clutches of various cults, I can attest that there are three types of people when it comes to cults- the one that will unknowingly drink the grape flavored poison with you, another that would hold the cup for you and watch as you drink it, and finally the one that would smack the cup out of your hand. I fit the mold of the last type. What I say may sting a bit, but later, you will appreciate the smack if you are interested in the truth.
